The competition was tough at the 2003 Grand American races at Daytona International. The elimination of the open cockpit SRP I category for the 24hr made for extremely close endurance racing, with no clear winner in sight even with only an hour to go. Grand Am Cup battles were also intense, with many teams making marked improvements over the winter off-season.
