We spend considerable time and effort during development to achieve remarkable civility when idling and at part throttle cruising, while also producing a war-cry wail when full throttle is applied. We spent considerable time examining how to maximize the performance and options of this exhaust system. We went through numerous redesigns to discover the exhaust that produced great, usable power with an amazing sound.

We increased the diameter of the piping to 2.5" in order to let the big 4.2 Liter V8 exhale better and strategically eliminated mufflers so you can hear it sing.

The catback system is topped off standard with our signature 80mm slash cut exhaust tips. The tips sport engraved AWE Tuning logos and are double walled to ensure a mirror polish even under hard usage. They are also available in with your choice of Polished Silver or Diamond Black finishes.

For S5 drivers looking for maximum performance with a sound to go with it, we offer our high flow downpipes as an add on option. Our downpipes will mate to our cat back system or any other cat back designed to work with the stock downpipes. Our downpipes eliminate an additional set of resonators from the car, to produce a louder and deeper tone to the exhaust note.
