AWE ANNOUNCES B9 S4 PROJECT CAR, PARTNERS WITH THULE, CANNONDALE, H&R, VOSSEN, AND YOKOHAMA
AWE, the precision automotive engineering firm located just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, launched the gallery today that displays the all-new AWE B9 S4, outfitted with precision performance upgrades from AWE and partner-products from Thule, Cannondale Bicycles, Vossen Wheels, H&R Special Springs, and Yokohama Tire for a marketing cross-promotion push.
AWE has a long history of developing high-performance upgrades for the Audi market, citing such milestones as being featured in Forza 2, AWE’s founder, Todd Sager, being donned as “the Godfather of S4 Tuning” by European Car Magazine and setting quarter mile records with Audi’s 3.0T motor with both their B8.5 S5, and even their Q5 (which did it with a baby seat in the back, for good measure).
The AWE B9 S4 is AWE’s latest flagship Audi and is “following in the footsteps of AWE’s trademark Audi performance upgrades,” stated AWE VP Jesse Kramer. “AWE has honed its offering to produce world class exhausts, intakes and intercoolers out of our greater-Philadelphia manufacturing facility, and the B9 S4 will get the full line.”
The AWE “ColdFront™” Intercooler for the B9 S4/S5 is slated for release in fall 2018. Beyond the AWE products, AWE worked with H&R Special Springs, Vossen, and Yokohama.
AWE B9 S4 performance upgrades:
- AWE SwitchPath™ Exhaust with 102mm chrome silver tips
- AWE AirGate™ Carbon Intake
- AWE signature livery
- H&R Sport lowering springs
- Vossen VFS6 wheels, 20x9.5 ET35, mid concave, in silver metallic
- Yokohama ADVAN Sport V105 tires in 265/30R20
Partnership with Thule, Cannondale:
The partnership with Thule and Cannondale originated with the concept of the overlap between the active, and extreme lifestyles of Thule consumers, Cannondale consumers and AWE consumers. “The AWE brand is second to none in the performance aftermarket,” stated Michael Callaghan, Merchandising Design Manager at Thule, Inc. “The brand lines up perfectly with the Thule lifestyle we promote.”
The shown Thule configuration features:
- Thule AeroBlade roof bars, black
- Thule Rapid Traverse Pack
- Thule Fit Kit 1819
- Thule ProRide Bike Rack
- Thule AirScreen 8700
When it came to bicycle selection for the partnership, AWE turned to Keswick Cycle, one of the largest Cannondale and Thule dealers in the region. The Cannondales featured are a Jekyll Two (2018), a Bad Habit Carbon Two (both 2017 and 2018 versions shown), a Scalpel SE Two (2018), a Synapse Carbon 105 (2018), and a CAAD12 Disc Ultegra.
