AWE REVEALS AMG E 63 PROJECT CAR, FEATURING FORGELINE, MICHELIN, AND NEW EXHAUST LINE

AWE, the precision engineering firm based outside of Philadelphia, has released its new exhaust line for the W213 AMG E 63 S Wagon, and a full gallery reveal of the development car featuring Michelin and Forgeline products.

“AWE has deep respect for the capabilities of the German-bred V8 platform--these are our roots,” stated AWE VP Jesse Kramer.

With their recently released SwitchPath™ Exhaust for the AMG E 63/S, the firm managed to unlock an additional 21 hp, 6 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels, and an “enhanced soundtrack bettering Mercedes’ commendable factory AMG Performance Exhaust.”

AWE entered the Mercedes-Benz market in 2016 with the AMG C 63 platform.

For this project car, AWE teamed up with Forgeline to equip the E 63 with a wheel style that would be complementary of the wagon’s streamlined aesthetic. Michelin proffered their newly released Pilot Sport 4S tires in sizes formerly unavailable to the U.S. market.

“The sports wagon is a category that AWE has always loved, dating back to our B5 and B7 Audi S4 wagons. When it comes to the “alpha male” of the current wagon market, there’s no better than the AMG E 63. And the exhaust, wheels and tires take this beast of a wagon to a new level,” stated Jesse Kramer, VP of Marketing at AWE.
