AWE TUNING LAUNCHES INTO MERCEDES-BENZ

AWE Tuning, the 25-year-old performance engineering company, entered into its eighth marque today -- Mercedes-Benz.

The company’s initial “flagship” product will be the W205 AMG C63/S Exhaust Suite, and promises products for both the C450 AMG and the C300 in the spring of this year.

“It’s been a long time in the making, Mercedes-Benz. We acquired the Edition One AMG C63 S so that we could study the car thoroughly, and bring simply the best product to market,” stated AWE Tuning VP of Marketing, Jesse Kramer.

The product mix will include AWE Tuning’s SwitchPath™ valved exhaust and a Track Edition exhaust. Mercedes-Benz will also usher in AWE Tuning’s new SwitchPath™ valve remote, where the SwitchPath™ Exhaust will also come with keychain-sized remotes for cars that did not come with Mercedes-Benz’ Dynamic Performance Exhaust.

Mercedes-Benz is the latest in a number of recent new marques for the company. AWE Tuning entered into BMW in February 2015, and MINI in December of 2015, adding to the company’s Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen, McLaren and Bentley lines. The company also moved into a new state-of-the-art headquarters in 2015.

As far as additional products beyond exhausts for the W205 AMG C63, C450 AMG and C300, AWE Tuning is also in the development phases for carbon fiber intakes, and “can’t rule out an intercooler product, and maybe more.”
